Liability Options/Damage Claim Procedure

Our ultimate goal is to exceed our customers' expectations. Unfortunately, damages do occur occasionally. That’s why we want you to know there are three options to choose from for local move liability coverage. Please note that this is not insurance coverage. Insurance can be purchased from an outside source.

Option 1: 30 Cents Per Pound Per Item

This is the amount that would be paid to the customer to cover any damaged item if it cannot be repaired for a reasonable amount. This option doesn’t cost the customer anything. This option is the default if none is selected.

Option 2: $5,000 Coverage

This option costs $30 for each block of $5,000 coverage of possessions and includes a $250 deductible. Similar to auto insurance, the first $250 is the responsibility of the customer and any additional cost (not to exceed the maximum amount purchased) is the responsibility of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. The additional cost is not based on replacement value. It is based on depreciated value: the time you owned the item and its original price.

Option 3: $10,000 Coverage

This option costs $110 for each block of $10,000 coverage of possessions and has no deductible. Similar to option two, coverage is based on depreciated, not replacement value.

All moving companies operating in Nebraska must offer these Liabilities per the Nebraska Public Service Commission.
